It is a wonderful place, very relaxing. Located in a small village of Gargazzone 20 minutes by car or bus from Merano center (hotel provides a free transport pass in the region to all guests). The rooms are spacious and very well designed, the view is stunning, the grounds are perfectly suited for relaxation with gardens, loungers, two pools (open and covered), sauna complex. The hotel is located right next to the owner’s organic farm, so in season they get their own fruits and vegetables. I would recommned taking their 3/4 board option (lunch and dinner), since there are few if any food options in the village, and chances are you wouldn’t want to leave the hotel grounds anyway.

beautiful hotel, nice clean rooms, nice beds, good bathrooms, great swimming pool and spa facilities.

there is only a set menu for dinner and service was quite slow (took approx 2h from sitting down, to get the main course). one of the courses in the set menu dinner was pasta, which we had to get up and go to the kitchen bar to ask for and wait for it to be prepared by the chef. this created quite a long queue of hungry and (some) irate guests standing around waiting for the pasta - i dont think this was a great idea. the hotel's unusual room cooling system (via a clay wall) is a nice concept in theory, but in practice, for the top floor room, in +34* august weather, it just did not cope with the heat and the top floor room was too hot at night.

Location and overall atmosphere of the hotel was not as expected. WiFi reception in the rooms non existent. Argument that the absence of WiFi is for health etc is not valid since anyway in all public places you have radiation of wifi and mobile phones etc. Although relatively new place for some reason the overall atmosphere of the place felt outdated. Through the photographs you expect that this place is in the middle of nature but its not. Also through the photographs you get the vibe of a high end hotel which is not. We had a reservation (and we did pay) for a 3 night stay and we left after 1 night.

Few options for the dinner. Basically you can only sign up for a full-scale dinner which was personally too much for me. It would be great to have a possibility to order something small, based on the menu.

Clean, spacious! Kid play area was great too.

It was hard to not have any WiFi in the room. I know why they make that decision, but it was still hard.

Beautiful garden in full bloom with wisteria and apple trees, heated pool and mountain views. Bio sauna with steam herbs. Delicious dinners. Great service.
