The location was fine, in central gambarie. Gambarie itself was completely quiet. The room was big and clean. The shower was excellent.

The hotel is old and tired, it is in dire need of a refurbishment. So many areas have been abandoned, there are random piles of "things" everywhere, it's definitely no prepared to have guests in it. The No fresh food at breakfast, they put us in a room above the dining room so we heard chairs scraping late into the evening until the restaurant closed. The restaurant food was surprisingly good, although you can't really order from the menu. They come up to the table and tell you what they can cook that day, and you say yes or no!

Lovely hotel. Very friendly host. Excellent home cooked evening meal. Nice garden with a great view across the straits to Sicily and Stromboli. Very quiet when we were there in Oct.

WiFi was patchy to non-existent.
