The room wasn't bad, it seemed clean, the bed was decent and the pillows were fluffy. The heater was silent.

The pool room was freezing. The hot tub was more like luke warm bath water with dirty brown bubbles sitting on top. Breakfast was the most chaotic hotel breakfast I have ever experienced. The pancake maker ran out of mix so we let the front desk attendant know. He came over and removed the old mix, disappeared for about 5 minutes, then came back with muffins? I'm not sure why these were a priority when he knew multiple guests were lined up for the pancake machine. He disappeared again for another 5 minutes, then finally came back with the pancake mix (this wasn't mix he had to make so it wasn't like he was gone because he was preparing it. He simply had to take the top off the bag and insert it into the machine). All the while, there was a mom with 4 kids, 2 of which were toddler/preschool aged and wrecking havoc on everything. They were spilling juice and cereal, screaming, running all over. Mom was sitting on her butt doing nothing, while screaming at her poor pre-teen that she should be doing something. I so badly wanted to tell her that her daughter didn't make those babies, SHE DID, and she should get control over them. It seemed like maybe they live in the hotel, so be aware of that if you plan to stay here.

Super clean. Nice breakfast. The night staff who did my check-in was super friendly and helpful. The (maintenance man?) Who cleaned the pool area and helped my kids with the hot tub was also helpful and very friendly.

The housekeeping manager who reminded me, as I was getting ready to leave at 11:05,, that if I wasn't out by 11:30 they would have to charge me, did so in a very rude way with a nasty tone of voice.

Wonderful hotel. Exterior looks old, but the interior has been remodeled and is fabulous. Very clean rooms, pool, and hallway. The breakfast buffet has a lot to offer. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend. Will stay here next time in Black River Falls.

I spent one night at this relatively large budget hotel just off I-94. My room with a single queen-size bed was comfortable. The furniture was a bit worn. The handle on a bedside table was falling off and the Ottoman had some stains, probably from someone spilling something while using is as a coffee table. The room had a small microwave and refrigerator. What was important to me was that I slept well and the bathroom was clean. I like how the flooring in the bathroom and the area in front of the sink was solid surface. it just feels cleaner. I checked in late and checked out about nine hours later so I didn't look at the pool. I also can never eat the complimentary breakfasts. They're unappealing. There is quite a Burger King adjacent to the hotel and a large Kwik Trip a short distance away. It's what I expect from a budget hotel.,
