The White Horse

Nice friendly pub and helpful staff. Whilst there was noise and entertainment, pretty much settled down by about 11pm. Bathrooms was fresh, modern and clean. Linen & bedding was nice (bed was comfy) and fresh and always nice to have coffee & tea in the room. TV was also connected and had streaming services. Food seemed reaonably priced and breakfast was good and tasty.

Room furniture looked a little tired/dated ? (Opposed to bathroom). Car noise in the early hours was very noticeable. We were on motorbikes and the parking is perpendicular to the slope, so we lined up in one bay facing in the direction of the slope (we were four bikes so it was economical use if space - but if solo you hope there is space right at the top where it flattens out).

Central location, comfortable, clean and most helpful staff. This was our second visit in recent months and we will certainly be back for another visit soon.

Lovely quirky rooms, very clean. The couple who run the place are wonderful and so helpful. We had dinner and breakfast here too and both were delicious. Would definitely stay again.

The room was nice and clean. The staff were super friendly and helpful. There's a few free parking spaces, and there's nearby council on-street parking between 6pm and 8am. This pub is clearly a locals pub where people know each other, it's a friendly atmosphere. This is fine and I knew this when booking from reading other reviews; so it is worth mentioning, but it is a pub - so if you try and sleep before it's closed or on busy nights it can be loud. Also you can hear a lot of road noise from cars driving past. I'd happily stay here again in the future

Had a lovely evening meal with drinks before heading to our room. Staff attentive and helpful. Our room was big and had the added luxury of the roll top bath in our bedroom. The coffee machine was a definite bonus.

Not there fault but the road was a little noisy at night but my husband didn't notice it as much

Superb value for the cost, we didn't have breakfast so can't comment. Beautiful room, great location. Host was fabulous, she works long hours.

broken toilet seat and shower tray that started to overfill because waste was not clearing properly, so dirty water backing up.

Perfectly placed, really nice atmosphere, staff were very helpful and friendly the room themes are a great touch, will definitely recommend for anyone to stay
