Manor House Hotel Holy Island

Fantastic location! The food at the restaurant was superb and great value for money. The staff were very friendly.

The property is quite dated, very uncomfortable mattresses which left me with back ache and poor sleep. The bathroom had a very unusual layout, the shower door didn’t open fully as the toilet was in the way, which was fine for us but could be an issue for larger people or pregnant women. It seems like the establishment is understaffed as it was impossible to contact the hotel prior to our stay and once we arrived it was clear that only one member of staff was manning both the reception and the bar and the phone never got answered. When I did manage to contact the hotel ahead of time to inform them that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, the lady who answered said she would make a note on my booking and hung up but didn’t actually take my name which felt dismissive.

It's a great location, directly opposite the Priory and with onsite parking. The breakfast is really good and the staff are all very friendly and helpful.

The location, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable and the food very good.

Our bathroom, which seemed to have been recently refurbished to a high standard, was always cold and damp as there was no radiator or heated towel rail. We had to dry the towels on the bedroom radiator.
