Hotel Toliman

Es la segunda vez que me quedo en este hotel y es super lindo. Esta vez fui con mis dos perros y nos la pasamos muy bien. El personal siempre muy atento, la comida deliciosa y el ambiente del hotel muy agradable.

The grounds were beautiful, with gorgeous gardens and beautiful plants everywhere. The view from the restaurant was lovely. The maintenance and restaurant staff were friendly and very helpful.

I got a scorpion sting, from INSIDE my pillow - which was terrifying (luckily it was a small one and I was fine). Travelling with an 8 month old, though we were understandably a bit concerned as we could see a second scorpion on the ceiling of our room. We told reception and they offered to clean the room, but allowed us to move rooms after we asked. The reception staff didn't seem bothered - they didn't ask if I was ok, if I needed medical treatment or if they could do anything else to help us, which was disappointing. The gentlemen who helped us move our belongings, however, were incredibly concerned for our baby and were very apologetic. Obviously it wasn't anyones fault and scorpions do live there, but I felt the hotel management could have shown more concern for our safety. Unfortunately the room we moved to was next to the road - very noisy with traffic. There were some incredibly inconsiderate guests who allowed their children to play loudly well past the 'quiet hours' of 10pm. In the end we had to ask them to be quiet - this seems like something the hotel should have done.
