Hótel Fljótshlíd

The room was comfortable despite being a bit old fashion. The hotel is in a farm in a very isolated place. It would be ideal to see the northern lights if we had a cloudless night (unfortunately, we were not luck). The staff was very helpful and I rate the breakfast of this hotel as the best in our 5 days trip.

The room was quite odd with old fourniture and very poor light. We arriving at midnight, having only some message ls from the reception, but finally we succeeded, but the impression was we are in a hounted place 😊. The property is at 15 min drive from Road #1, but the road to the hotel is OK. However in the morning we discovered the beauty of the place, the garden and the landscape and especially the restaurant which is really amazing. We had one of the best breakfasts in Iceland here.

You really need to do something with the rooms, they look really old and dated. Not classic, nor vintage, but just like you put old second hand furniture inside. And please put more light, stronger bulbs.

My wife and I loved the animals and the extremely nice staff. We especially liked learning about the rich history from the receptionist. The views were exceptional and the complimentary breakfast was authentic and top notch.

Ordentliche saubere geräumige Zimmer. Das Restaurant und das Frühstück waren bestens.

Die Gastküche und das Gästehaus könnten sauberer sein.
