Casa Zala

Beautiful. Comfortable.

This isn’t a hotel. It is a very upscale hostel. People cooking in the common area, everyone hanging out on the common area.

Stunning place, we lived in the back bungalow which is huge and a really comfortable and cozy place. The front house is breathtaking with the pool, open area and the kitchen. The communication is really easy and Emi/Alex are really helpful. El Paredon is nice surfer town with great vibes.

The villa itself was beautiful, and was incredibly clean. The property manager was very helpful.

When we arrived, one of the rooms (containing two double beds) was unavailable due to a storm having damaged its roofing. We were then given another room containing only one bed. As we were not able to use our booked room until 1pm the next day, we asked the owner for a discount, which was refused. This left a bad taste at the end of our otherwise enjoyable stay, and seemed disreputable from the owner given the obvious change of the standard of accommodation.

Hands down nicest place to stay in El Parédon. Unless you’re really into surfing I’d recommend coming down for a weekend (2 nights). The temperature is something else... This pool saved our lives as the sea isn’t great for swimming. Facilities are great, rooms spacious and beautiful. Tip the local staff as they do an excellent job on cleaning!

There is so much I loved about our stay here. From the exquisite salt-water pool to the open, immaculate kitchen. This place is extraordinary from top to bottom. My mom and I came here for vacation and we had the time of our lives. The rooms were super clean and the staff were extremely friendly. This booking is a prime location & it’s just a short walk away from the beach. 10/10 would recommend to stay here.

We have such a lovely stay at Casa Zala. The room was beautiful and the communal area was stunning, it felt a bit like sharing a gorgeous villa with a small number of really nice other guests. Some of the hostels were quite noisy so we were so happy to have chosen Casa Zala. Thank you for being the best ending to our Guatemala trip!

Great place to stay with friends or a partner for a holiday. Newly built by the owners who are a lovely couple (from UK and Hungary). The pool and communal area are really nice to chill in all day, there's also a yoga room and cooking space. We stayed in the dorm room and our couple friends had a beautiful double room. There wasn't AC or hot water in the dorm room but it didn't matter - the beds were very comfortable and the space reflective of the photos online. Would really recommend a stay here and would love to go back. It's a short walk from the beach where there are amazing sunsets and there's some nice cafes/restaurants in what felt like an ever growing beach/surfer/backpacker town.

I would for sure recommend this beautiful place to my friends and family. The staff is the cutest, everyone has such a loving and warm vibe. The rooms are STUNNING! We stayed here for one night and then came back for a few more, I think this says it all. One of the best places overall to stay in el paredon for sure. The owners have done and excellent job, seriously! You can also rent surfboards there. It has it all! Can’t recommend Casa Zala enough!
