Thaai Residency - 700m to Arunchalam Girivalam

Close proximity to temple. A bit isolated and not in the middle of city hustle.

A nearby small temple played loud music at early morning hours (5am - 8am), and then late in the evening (8pm-11pm), that kind of disturbed our stay and sleep.

This place is amazing. Staff is very professional, everything was good about this place. They schedule auto’s for you whenever. Breakfast is good and coffee is good. Manager is amazing. Laundry service. The room is super nice and quiet. This was the perfect place to stay for a solo traveler from America.

The Hotel is located just 2kms outside main town area, so is quiet and comfortable. Good car parking. You need to have a car to go to Tiruvannamalai, which is then quite good for access. The Breakfast was South Indian which suited us and was excellent and tasty, with very courteous staff. The room size is good, the AC worked well. TV is Android TV and channels are more Netflix or YouTube access, leave something if one wants to surf local news etc as not easy to navigate with the remote given without instructions. Room and hotel both neat and tidy. Bathrooms clean. Linen neat and good. Lighting, electrical points with universal sockets quite good.

The hot water was available 24/7 and quite hot. The bathroom does not have enclosure for bathing, with bathing area near to bathroom door, making whole bathroom wet. Washbasin size was small for comfort with no hot water access in wash basin. The step from bathroom to bedroom is a bit high (10 inches height of elevated bathroom floor) which can sometimes be uncomfortable. There is outside sort of lobby space in each room, which remains unused. Would have been better if added to room as wasted space as paid for.

The best of the services, facilities, and people, all in one place. Well ventilated huge rooms, clean and tidy toilets, lots of parking, a restaurant which feels more like your home kitchen and the best of the people. Each time i go back, the place and the people there give me a feeling of going to an extended home than a hotel. The name "Thaai residency" truly holds its meaning.

Everything about the hotel was excellent. I have travelled to many states in India and I would say this is one of the cleanest hotel. Superb food, breakfast was prepared with dedication. All staff of the hotel were humble and friendly, always there to assist. This is my second time staying in this hotel. And i will definitely come back here!! Temple or girivalam is not reachable within walking distance. If you have a car. This will be the best choice.
