I had an incredibly disappointing experience with Booking.com, and I feel compelled to share it to warn others. From the moment I arrived in Jaipur, everything went wrong. We had requested an early check-in at FabHotel The White Moon, which was understandably not possible due to peak hours. As suggested by the receptionist, we agreed to check in at the regular time. Yet, just an hour before check-in, I received a call from Booking.com informing me that the room I had reserved months in advance was no longer available due to a "technical error." We had already made half of the payment and booking was confirmed. To make matters worse, another guest who had booked through Agoda faced the same issue at the same hotel. I was then told I had to move to a different hotel. This switch happened without any consideration for the inconvenience it caused. The original hotel, FabHotel The White Moon, was conveniently located within walking distance of the metro, making commuting easy. However, the new hotel, FabHotel Prime Rudra, was far from the metro, resulting in much higher commuting costs. Neither Booking.com nor the hotel bothered to provide a proper explanation, and there was no effort to offer any compensation for the inconvenience. I was simply told to pack up and relocate without any apology or acknowledgment of how this disruption impacted my stay. Upon arriving at FabHotel Prime Rudra, the situation only worsened. I was met with unprofessional responses and an overall lack of communication. The entire ordeal was handled poorly, and the irresponsibility and unprofessional behavior from both the host and Booking.com left me feeling frustrated and disrespected. While I'm unsure whether the fault lies with Booking.com or FabHotel The White Moon, this experience has left me thoroughly dissatisfied. A similar issue occurred in Pondicherry last year, but we initially thought it was a rare event and moved on.

"Booking snafu! payment issue while check in dirty bathrooms, sticky floors, unhelpful staff"

The hotel is conveniently located. While the breakfast isn't a buffet, we were offered 3-4 options, and each person could choose 2. However, the beverage options were limited to hot coffee and tea, with a one-cup-per-person limit.

We booked two rooms for seven people (three adults and four children) through Booking.com. However, upon check-in, we were informed that the hotel only had a reservation for three guests. They claimed to have received information from Booking.com for only three people. We presented our booking documents with all the details for seven guests. After some verification, the hotel staff acknowledged the mistake and said they would confirm the information. There was also an issue with our payment. Despite making a partial payment during booking, the staff initially claimed they hadn't received it. Fortunately, later in the evening, they contacted someone from either FabHotels or Booking.com and confirmed our full payment and reservation details for seven people. The hotel's hygiene and cleanliness standards are quite poor and require significant improvement. Despite the good infrastructure, spacious rooms, and modern furniture, the cleanliness issues were a major drawback. The bathrooms were dirty, and the floors were sticky. Even after requesting a floor cleaning upon check-in, the staff simply wiped the floor with a dirty duster, leaving it unchanged

Good location Good Restaurant food

Very Dirty (bed had stains) Broken shower, toilet and AC (only on or off) Checkin and checkout took 1h each When faced with a query/problem the management would argue in front of you for 30min rather than find a solution

"Awful, worst hotel we’ve stayed at in our 6 months of travel."

The bathroom stunk like raw sewage. When we arrived at 3pm they made us wait an hour and a half to get into our room, we booked ‘breakfast included’ and ordered from the breakfast inclusive list and when we checked out they tried to charge us $2000 rupees for breakfast. There were also rats in the restaurant, they ran past us as we were eating! Filthy, disgusting place. The staff are awful and unhelpful and kept lying to try rip us off and overcharge us. Do not stay here.
