Hotel Garden

We stayed at this hotel as a family of 4 (two adults and two babies) The room was on the small side but clean and met our requirements for a single night stay, but would not have been suitable for us for stays longer than 2 or 3 nights due to the small size. The bathroom was clean and spacious, so was the balcony. The continental style breakfast was excellent, with a great selection of pastries, breads and cakes, all freshly made. The location is very good, just a few minutes walk away from Ufficio 19 and especially Ufficio 17 and 18, which are probably the best areas for small children by the sea side in Lignano. Also a few minutes walk from Parco Junior. Staff was welcoming and polite. I made use of the free car park space in front of the hotel, which was very handy indeed, particularly as in Lignano car parks are at a premium and very expensive.

Prices in Lignano are very high for this time of the year, perhaps too high for what you get. However, it must be said this hotel was not overpriced if compared to other hotels in the area. Always book well in advance to get the best prices (not like us!)

Excellent location – just a 5-minute walk to the beach, including both public and private dog-friendly areas. Parking is limited, so it’s recommended to reserve a spot in advance (€8 extra). The air conditioning worked very well. We had a 2-bedroom apartment for 3 people and 2 dogs Pet-friendly – €5 per dog per day. You can bring your dog to both breakfast and dinner; a table on the terrace will be reserved for you.

For dinner, it’s best to arrive early, as food is not replenished later.
