Hotel Chalet S - Dolomites Design - adults recommended

Fabulous location on hill outside Selva with beautiful views from the dining room and roof top terrace. The bar and reception areas are small but beautifully appointed. All decorations inside the hotel are thoughtfully placed and provide a lovely alpine feel. The ski locker room is easily accessed with the internal lift.

We had the Tyrol suite which was a good size with a second room with a single bed. Unfortunately this room is on the rear of the hotel and views from the 2 balconies was onto a rear parking area, which was generally quiet. Could've done with more shelving inside the wardrobes for clothing or provision of a chest of draws. Also more hanging hooks for the ski clothing to be aired at end of a busy skiing day.

All the staff was extremely friendly and treated you as a highly valued guest. Common areas has the highest standard, and also the wellness area. Room standard is more normal. Food quality was very high (both breakfast and dinner) and presentation as well as service on highest level. Shuttle service to the lift in the mornings was very convenient

Location is perfect for exploring the region, private shuttle to take skiers to base gondolas, lovely rooftop terrace with views of the mountains. The village is a few minutes walk. The Chalet is immaculate and well appointed throughout with so many thoughtful amenities available. Staff very friendly and public areas are welcoming and quiet. Comfortable public areas to relax and visit, multiple games for small group entertainment, bar with the friendliest of staff and every drink imaginable. Sauna exercise room available. Inside and outside parking available. We were there for the skiing which really was superb despite a low snowfall season. Our room was large with expansive deck. 4 course dinner are included in the stay. The dinner was fabulous, 3 choices for each course, very fresh ingredients, innovative cuisine, options changed daily. Quality equal to any fine restaurant in the region! Breakfast both extensive buffet all very fresh with numerous options and small menu for addition freshly cooked options of eggs/crepes. I would highly recommend Chalet S and planning a return stay in 2027
