HAKONE GORA ONSEN Hotel Kasansui

Overall, we had a pleasant stay, but it is important to arrive with the right expectations. The hotel feels somewhat dated and is located deep in the mountains in a quiet and relatively isolated area, far from Lake Ashi. Access is most convenient by car or public transportation, and it is worth noting that the nearest convenience store is about a 20-minute walk away. The hostess was very kind and even provided complimentary transportation to and from Gora Station, which made getting around much easier. However, she does not speak English, so we relied on Google Translate for communication. Our room was relatively spacious, but the bathroom was small and outdated. The hotel offers two onsen facilities, one indoor and one outdoor. They are not particularly impressive, but they are adequate and provide a traditional Japanese bathing experience. We had the impression that the property primarily caters to domestic Japanese travelers rather than international tourists. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the food. Both the traditional Japanese breakfast and dinner exceeded our expectations. The meals were rich in flavors and textures, beautifully presented, and provided an authentic Japanese dining experience that we thoroughly enjoyed. In summary, this hotel may appeal to travelers seeking a quiet, traditional Japanese ryokan-style experience in the mountains. However, those looking for modern facilities, easy access to major attractions, or English-speaking service may find it less suitable. Overall, we would rate it 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Far from Ashi lake.

料理がすごく豪華でおいしかった。 量が多くて食べきれないくらい。 部屋もすごく広くてのんびりとくつろげたし、値段の割に何もかもが大満足でした。

お風呂が少し狭かったぐらいかな。

Sehr freundliches Personal und der Onsen wahr sehr angenehm. Die Abendessen sind auch positiv hervorzuheben. Das Frühstück ist japanisch und damit sicher nicht für jeden geeignet.

Das Gebäude ist in die Jahre gekommen und müsste an ein paar Stellen renoviert werden

The food was great. We enjoyed the onsen bath although the water was very hot so you couldn’t stay in for too long but my skin actually felt great afterwards. The staff were very friendly & eager to help.

El personal muy amable y cálido, aunque es un tema lo del idioma y que no vean alternativas para comunicarse, que esas alternativas las tenga que buscar el cliente

El baño olía feo, además de ser muy pequeño, la habitación era grande pero el baño era en extremo pequeño y además oloroso, muy incómodo. El onsen aunque muy natural, también se veía viejo y con poco mantenimiento, hasta medio sucio
