Kyojuku Usagi - Vacation STAY 46003v

The receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful. Forgot to ask her name but thanks to her for recommending places to eat, and where to get medicine and getting us a cab. For winter the house has excellent warming. At no point i was freezing at all.

The room has a lot of natural light, for someone very sensitive to light i got naturally woken up very easily.

Beautiful modern house with up-to-date kitchens and 2 bathrooms. Traditional bedroom and delightful tatami mat room. It is in a nice, quiet neighborhood very near Nijo castle. Hosts were friendly and gave clear instructions.

A narrow and steep staircase up to the second floor. A little more light in the rooms, although the tatami room has sky lights. Otherwise, it is great.

I did wish the beds were higher, softer and bigger. But it worked!

We had two lovely welcoming hosts meet us at the property. It was a fun and welcoming meet up! We loved going to the Life super market down the street, picking up delicious food and cooking in this beautiful place. Sometimes at the end of the day when traveling it is just better to come back to a comfortable place, experiment with local food and relax. We loved the immediate and friendly response from our hosts.

Very minor…The washer/dryer seemed challenging to operate and get clothes properly dry. Hosts are looking into it.

The property was very secure, private, clean, and well presented. The staff were friendly and very helpful with any questions or advice we needed but were discreet and unobtrusive. The property is very close to kyoto Castle as well as various public transport options from the nearby transport hub, and taxis frequently pass the property, so it is easy to hail one if you are in a rush. The onsen is very modern, with the ability to start the tub filling from the upstairs lounge while you relax before being able to head down to enjoy the private garden view from the tub. There is a very large traditional japanese tatame room with a large table on the ground floor to host guests for dinner or games, which we took advantage of on our first night. Finally, the kitchen is well outfitted with everything you could want to host 6 or more people with ease and does have a European style dining table for those unnacustomed to the traditional Japanese style seating. We will recommend this property to any friends who travel to kyoto and will look to book it again should we return.

The air-conditioning controls were only in Japanese however google translate helped us and it was not a problem.

The location was perfect, close to subway station and grocery stores . Excellent , quiet and spacious . Spotlessly clean. All amenities including tooth brush, lotions, hair tie , robes , slippers and towels provided .Kitchen is well stocked to make small meals - fresh bottles of water provided daily .

Everything was exceptional about this stay with the jacuzzi being a bonus after adventuring to tourist places all day. The location was perfect and the place was absolutely fabulous! We loved it so much 💕🎉💕
