Homm Stay Nagi Shijo Kyoto By Banyan Group

The room we booked was huge, clean, comfortable and so thoughtfully designed. The bed was incredibly large and comfortable, and the duvet was thick, plush and warm! Perfect after a long day out walking and exploring - out sleep was so good too. We had a walk in closet, a little living room area and a space to sit and do your hair/makeup in front of a mirror. The property itself is really beautiful and well maintained, and they have water dispensers at the lobby as well as right outside your room! The bathroom can fully stocked as well, and it has a separate toilet, sink, shower and bathtub area. The little details really stood out too - there was a fabric refresher spray in the walk in closet, hangers provided, and a hand sanitizer in the room. Fridge was decent sized and they had cups/glasses/ fancy tea cups etc. It is also very centrally located - there’s even a bus stop right outside which gets you in the Kyoto city bus, and it’s walkable to the main tourist shopping street / to a few subway lines. There are also many restaurants around, and 2 supermarkets and various drug / health stores around!

I loved everything! Only thing to note is that the properly is in a small street rather than facing the main road

Super lokalita, perfektní ubytování s obývací částí a ložnicí, velkou koupelnou a místností jako šatna. Hotel nemá restauraci, nečekejte panoramatické výhledy. Má perfektní 24 hodin recepci a servis, je dobře strategicky umístěn na výlety po okolí.

I liked everything about it

The property is a peaceful haven in the chaos of Kyoto. It’s in a great location, within easy walking distance to Nishiki market, the Gion district and the tram that goes to Arashiyama. There are also plenty of little restaurants in the area, which are very good (gyoza/takoyaki place on the corner was a real highlight). The rooms are spacious for Japan and it was lovely to have a Nespresso machine, as we struggled to find good coffee. The staff were very helpful and accommodating, assisting us in getting our luggage forwarded to our next destination and providing dinner recommendations.

If I had to be really picky, the lack of drawers would be annoying over a long stay - but then again, we didn’t have these anywhere we stayed in Japan.
