Gwangju HOUND Hotel

The receptionists were nice and helpful, they upgraded my room for free. The location of the hotel is also great; it is near Chungjangro Street (a lot of shops, cafes, and restaurants) and 5-10 min. walk to the public transportation. The room is quite clean, and the room facilities were complete and fully functioning.

The breakfast could have been better. But overall, it was nice.

Smoking room/ breakfast

The bed was comfortable and I slept well. The city view was good and not the wall of another building. The location is very close to the shopping area and many restaurants. The breakfast was rice, some side dishes, cereal, toast and jam. The first day was a freshly fried egg and the next day was a hardboiled egg. Also a bit of variation each day for the side dishes. It was a good start to the day. The room had really good lighting and it was easy to read our maps. The extra lamp in the corner made a big difference. The photos were an accurate representation of the room.

We were close to the drinking area so there was a bit of noise late at night when we had the window open. But not a big problem.

Water pressure in shower was quite low, room temperature was force set and could not be changed with the thermostat

easy access to nightlife in Gwangju

The room is really big (compared to rooms in Seoul) and it was well furnished and decorated in clean and modern manner.

The shower does not have a door.
