I loved the umbrellas set up for tanning, the area is very cozy:) And nothing can beat the view! One of the most beautiful once in Ahangama. Food was great, my best smoothie bowl I’ve had in Dreamsea. And can’t wait to have it again🫠

The A/C was very loud, when we add the sound of waves and a busy street behind the room, we get a hectic night. And I didn’t get any towels (not sure if it’s the policy or I was unlucky)

Dreamsea Surf Camp Sri Lanka in Ahangama boasts a fantastic location, offering beautiful surroundings and a relaxed atmosphere during the day. However, for the price, the experience was disappointing. Upon arrival, we experienced a power cut, which, while understandable and not the venues fault, became a major issue because the hotel does not have a generator. Given how expensive the stay is, this was surprising. Without power, our room became unbearably hot, and unfortunately, there was no fan to help with ventilation. Even when the power was restored, since the air conditioning was poorly maintained and not strong enough it was not able to cool the room quickly. At 7:30 PM, we were trying to get our baby to sleep in a room that was still at 30 degrees, while staff were outside cleaning the AC—hardly an ideal environment for a child. A ceiling or standing fan in the room would have made a huge difference, but sadly, there was none. Although the hotel promotes itself as a laid-back and relaxed destination, it is not baby-friendly. We chose it based on its advertised atmosphere, assuming it would be a quiet and comfortable stay for two days with our child. However, on our second day, we were informed about a barbecue event in the evening and asked if we wanted to join. While we have no issue with events, we were shocked at how loud the music was. When we raised this concern with the person in charge, he simply told us that the music would be off by 11 PM. Later that evening, when we returned from dinner, putting our baby to sleep was a nightmare. The music was extremely loud, and since the balcony doors couldn’t be fully closed, it felt like the speakers were right next to our child’s bed. While the staff did lower the volume after we asked around 9 PM, the damage was already done, as our baby kept waking up.

Great location, beautiful ocean view and a very homely atmosphere. Also loved the daily yoga classes and option for surf lessions.

Being 50 and having travelled all around the world, the staff at Dreamsea Sri Lanka are world class. Every aspect of my 6 night stay exceeded my expectations. The staff led by David and Chenna were exceptional. Mira the social manager made me feel very welcome. The aircon and location was A+.

Trees have grown since booking.com photo and a bit more ocean view would be good

Loved our stay here. Lovely rooms, beautifully styled. Comfy bed and nice sheets. Nice bathroom. We loved hanging out by the pool.

Tuk tuk drivers at the end of the driveway very pushy and not letting you get other rides - found this overbearing. The staff from Dreamsea helped us with this tuk tuk mafia issue!
