Sky Palace Beach Hotel

Location just minutes from the beach. Reception staff Beju and Christopher very warm and welcoming

Difficult to locate when arrived by Uber, 10min walk with luggage

Proximity to the beach, responsive and helpful staff.

The bathroom was a little antiquated though all facilities were there. Maybe it could be modernised more.

The owners took very good care of me as if I were a family member, even though we've never met before. "Guest is God" was the way they treated me. Prior to my arrival I ordered Indian cosmetics for personal purposes & got it delivered to the hotel. The taxi driver was waiting at the airport exit, carrying a paper with my name on it, printed in color. I felt immediately welcome. Overall, I stayed 2,5 weeks. The first couple of days I stayed in the ground floor non A/C room, which I booked online. I had a very good sleep being tired after the long travel. Later I decided to upgrade to an A/C room upstairs, which was larger, offered more light and space and especially was quieter. I felt like a princess in the Sky Palace. The owner guys (Winfred, Christoph & their helper Binu) showed me around; where to safely change money, which restaurants to visit, which places to go to, etc. They organised a tuk tuk or a taxi to take me to places. I had a very rich experience during the whole stay. Moreover, there is an ayurveda clinic SHIVA nearby, where I unexpectedly did 2 weeks of treatments, including a powerful panchakarma cleansing. I did not eat in the hotel.

I wish I could have stayed longer but work obligations called me back home. "India never sleeps". I kept my doors & windows open at night, not using the AC. I got woken up by different happenings in the neighbourhood; like a crying child, barking dogs & early morning 5am-ish loud prayers from nearby shrines. However, it was my choice to sleep with open windows and not using the AC. You could hear the ocean waves, which is a phenomenal sound & breathe the fresh oceanic air.

Zimmer für den Preis unterirdisch...Dusche ging nicht wirklich...alles veraltet und teilweise kaputt. Bett sehr hart
