Winzig Lodge

Nice place. Decent location. Spotless. Great kitchen. Mini fridge has a freezer. Decent parking, it would fit my crewcab pickup, average width spaces.

The train was very noisy. Obviously not the fault of the lodge. I'm guessing it's a problem everywhere in town.

From the beginning there were “no smoking” signs throughout the house. So obviously my family and I did not smoke while staying there. I had a vape with me and marijuana. I did not smoke either in or around the property, but when we left, I accidentally left a vape on the dresser. And without notice, they charged me $500 on top of the charge I had already paid for the room. When I called, the property manager claimed that he charged my card $500 bc there was a vape found in the room and it smelled of “heavy marijuana odor”. I explained I had some with me but I would never smoke it in the house. (Anyone who has good weed knows it smells without smoking it) however the smells leaves without needing a sanitizer treatment. The policy was $500 for smoking not for having things to smoke. This is fraud and completely unethical. I would never recommend this place to anyone looking to have a relaxing trip in lava. The worst place I have ever stayed in my 20 years of coming to lava hot springs. 0/10

Comfortable room. Close to locations but away from the busy part of town. Easy check in and check out. Would stay again.

Building could really use an ice maker for guests. East side rooms need better black out curtains to help with the bright sun making it an early wake up. Understand it a fairly new building. We also somehow lost hot water during the stay. Made it a little more uncomfortable then found the gfi had tripped in the bathroom. Rest it and it seemed to work ok.

New, clean and comfortable. Bed was great, extra pull out if needed, which we did not. Great kitchenette area to make food in the room. Just what we needed. Accommodated our early arrival by an hour, very helpful and responsive, THANK YOU!

Dishes are supposed to be cleaned on leaving (management request), but we were left dirty pans from who knows when. Coffee maker (Keurig style) would have been nice, but something is missing, wouldn't work so had to run out for coffee in the a.m. Shower a little small; a luggage rack would be appreciated.
