Boutique Hotel La Rocca

Die Lage des Hotels ist phantastisch. Das Frühstück sehr reichhaltig und man kann eigene Wünsche anbringen. Das Abendessen war auch sehr lecker. Parkplätze können gegen Bezahlung genutzt werden, was an dieser Lage nicht selbstverständlich ist

Das Zimmer war sehr klein und das Badezimmer wirklich winzig. Beleibtere Personen hätten Mühe sich darin zu bewegen. Die Ausstattung eher 'Old-Fashioned'. Die Balkone der Zimmer sind Seite an Seite und man hört jedes Wort der anderen Gäste.

Le service et l'accueil. La serviabilité du chef de salle et le fait qu'il était attentionné et connaissait ses clients. L'emplacement et la vue unique sur le lac Majeur.

Fantastic and beautiful on the lake

The room, the breakfast, the location high on the lake and the quiet surroundings

Rooms and the view from them were nice. The location was alright. Super nice that they had SUPs to rent for free.

The food was overpriced for what it was. Especially the breakfast was sad and stuck in the 90s. Coffee boiling hot and no taste - and that in an italian speaking region… Breakfast buffet was also sad with all the plastic containers. The “beach” was ridiculous and could not be made with less love. There were spider webs everywhere - like on the sun umbrellas. Everything looked like nobody had been there. The fact that there is no bar also points out that nobody seems to be going there anyways, so it would not pay off. The stairs to the water were so hot you could not walk on them and the water was not very clean on that side. Having to swim between the boats is also not very comforting. I would not go there for swimming - despite the private water access. The personnel was friendly and competent. however seemed overwhelmed at times and not like they enjoyed what they do. But if it is only for the view it is good. Next time I would rather look for a hotel in Ascona, there is more to do.
