Hotel Bijou

I've stayed at Bijou several times and it's consistently amazing. Ivo is a great host and the atmosphere is nice and friendly. Good breakfast and really nice home-cooked dinner for just a moderate extra charge. Great place

Had a lovely stay at the Bijou in Valtournenche this week. Everyone at the hotel is very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Luigi (hope that’s right) who runs the kitchen and drives the bus to the lifts! Superb breakfast including delicious omelettes made to order. Also, we had 5 days of almost perfect weather. Blue skies with great snow conditions- never had better!

Friendly staff, convenient location, ski room for boots/ski storage, nice quality shower and hot water, tasty breakfast and dinner.

The room category I booked wasn't available so I was in a smaller room with fewer facilities. The team did make up for this by offering me complimentary dinner each day which was much appreciated but still disappointed to miss the larger room with balcony. Bathroom facilities were a bit basic and there was nowhere to put toiletries/shower soaps etc inside the shower unit. Otherwise all was very good !

Clean hotel with friendly staff with very good food and a nice wine list. The bar was surprisingly good. Nice ski room. They can take you to the gondola or you can take the free public bus that departs from the parking lot.

The hotel is very nice, cozy and confortable. It has rooms with tables to stay outside the room with friends. It has ski room which keeps your skis and boots warm. The staff is very polite and helpful. There is one Romanian lady at the restaurant which is very attentive to details and serves you very well. The hotel offers free parking in the large parking lot just in front. They also offer free transportation at any time to and from the nearest ski lift with their personal van.

The included food for breakfast and supper is not that varied and quite lacks the classic italian taste, but it is good for the price paid. Pasta and pizza is quite bad.

The hotel was comfortable and well situated next to the shops. The shuttle bus took 5 minutes to the gondola. Valtourneche is also a great resort for skiing, especially in the morning as there are less people on the slopes. The hotel staff was amazing, many thanks to Eliza who was very friendly and tended to all our dietary needs. Also many thanks to Luigi who drove us to the gondola and back, who was very friendly and we had great talks with him. We had a very good time at the hotel thanks to the incredible staff. The hotel also has many parking spaces for free.
