Over Mountains Hotel

It's one of the best hotels I stayed in during my journey in Jordan. The staff greets you warmly and are very nice. They constantly provide you with treats, the view is very nice too

We are a family of 5 with 3 young children that recently stayed in the Over Mountain Hotel Petra and we had an excellent experience and highly recommend it. The place was very clean and quiet and the staff was very kind and welcoming. Ahmad, Hammam, and Ayman treated us with great hospitality throughout our stay and went out of their way to accommodate us. Ahmad spent time answering questions and giving tips on where to go and what to do while in Petra. Checking in and out of the place was very easy and we had no issues with the stay or the parking. A great breakfast with much variety was provided every morning starting at 0600, which was very convenient if you are an early riser. In addition, they gave some refreshments and fruits, which was a nice extra touch. In addition, the view was spectacular, both and the morning and evening. Overall, we really loved the place and hope to stay there the next time we visit Petra. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!

Our friend left a card in Over Mountains. A member of hotel staff stole the card and tried to use it in the shop below. The owner refused to give us any compensation for stealing from us. Disgraceful. The police have been contacted.

Very good host. The hotel was suffering a rebuilding but the host did every effort not to bother us with the noise. We had a pleasant stay there. He offered us tea, water and some fruits during our stay. The hotel has a space for free parking and has shops for groceries on the next door.

Location is very good, easy to go by car to Little Petra and Petra, also many options to eat just few minutes walking, so you don't need car at night to have dinner, easy free parking on the street. Big room, very clean, staff super friendly, they can prepare a lunch box for a good price for the day you go to Petra, very helpful. Breakfast full of options, very good.

Budget accommodation in Petra if you come with your own car. Coffee from Espresso machine. You will receive good value for your money. Helpful staff.

It is not a Hotel but you will receive a room with a bathroom in a large family house. First impression disastrous as I expected a Hotel, there was a strong smell (some people might like it) upon entering the house, a reception desk in the stairway, couldnt reach anyone for 10 minutes. Breakfast to personal for me as the staff will prepare coffee, eggs etc. for you in their kitchen / dining area. I personally prefer a more distant Hotel atmosphere.
