The room was truly small no place to open a suitcase that is slightly big I also found the pillow really thin and uncomfortable

One interesting feature was the bathroom setup. The bathrooms were walk-in style and included what appeared to be a jet bath, although I didn't use it during my stay. The separate toilet in the double room was also a nice touch.

We stayed 2 nights at the Hotel New Gaea Hakata and found it to be one of the smallest hotel rooms I've encountered in Japan. The double room was ridiculously small and certainly not suitable for two people. Once a suitcase was opened on the floor, there was literally no room to move around it—you were basically confined to standing in one spot. The twin room was a little better in terms of space, but not by much. Unfortunately, the beds were not particularly comfortable, and the pillows were thin slices of plastic rather than actual pillows, making for a poor night's sleep. The hotel's location is convenient, being close to Hakata Station and the surrounding area, which made getting around easy. The staff were friendly and helpful, although they did not seem quite as polished or professional as those at some other hotels we stayed in during our trip.
