ALA HOTEL KYOTO

We stayed at Ala Hotel Kyoto for 3 nights with our family and had a very pleasant stay. The location is excellent, just minutes from Kyoto Station, with easy access to buses, metro services, and JR lines for exploring Kyoto and beyond. The rooms are larger than typical Japanese hotel rooms and feel even more spacious thanks to the thoughtful layout and décor. They are well-equipped and comfortable. The staff are courteous, professional, and extremely helpful. We especially appreciated their assistance in arranging luggage forwarding to our next hotel and explaining the most cost-effective option for our family. Breakfast was good, and the dining area was spacious, although vegetarian options were limited. The only downside was that a large seating area in the lobby had been closed abruptly by management. This made the lobby feel crowded, especially with tour groups, and left limited seating causing discomfort to the guests. Overall, a very good hotel with an excellent location, spacious rooms, and outstanding service.
