Hotel Palms Tenmonkan

It save me for a night I wasn’t planning to be in Kagoshima, I’ve booked by mistake a woman’s cabin and they aren’t refunding me that. :(

They don’t answer my messages.

Stayed in a capsule in the mixed dorm. Very pleasant experience. Clean and well-maintained, towels and nightwear provided. Each capsules has an associated locker and shoe locker, although lockers are located separately. Staff were lovely, very friendly and accommodating. Clear signage and easy to locate.

The mattress was a little thin, and the capsule got quite warm at night. But definitely appropriate levels of comfort for the price!

Great location, kind staff.

The comfort cabin is basically a converted capsule. The bed itself was really hard for me, even by budget standards, so I was quite stiff waking up.

Room and facilities were clean, staff were nice, bed was comfortable, close to the port and city centre

Rooms are not soundproof so any noise in the corridors can be heard in the middle of the night (bad for light sleepers). Also I booked the upper bunk of the relax cabin but when I checked in I was given the lower bunk.
