Everything.. loved we could pick our own pillows, and the generous happy hour, we were able to mix our own drinks.. the staff couldn't do enough to help. The breakfast is yummy, not typically what we're used to, but going with the flow, really enjoyed it. The location is very convenient to the station.

Just be aware there is a Super hotel across the road nearer the station. A little confusing. The bathroom is on the small size.

I stayed at Super Hotel JR Nara Ekimae from 4/1/2025 to 4/6/2025. Please don't be confused with the Super Hotel Premier which was adjacent to The Nara Station. The Super Hotel JR Nara Ekimae, which was right across the street from the station, was older and smaller. The reception desk was on the 2nd floor. It was also the floor where you could find all personal accessories, had your daily buffet-style breakfasts, and enjoyed your leisure moments with free alcohol beverages in the evening from 18:00 to 21:00. Room: My room was small but clean. It had wi-fi connection, a ductless A/C, a TV set and an air purifier. It, however, did not have a desk telephone. The bathroom was an example of minimal interior design with the bathtub, the sink and the toilet bowl were all connected. The toilet was furnished with a full bidet system. 8/10 Services: Daily room service provided. Laundry room was on the 3rd floor. There were 2 washing and 2 drying machines. You only had to pay for washing, which was 200 yen, about 1.5 US dollars. Drying was free. 10/10 Staff: very nice and professional. The only problem I found while being in Japan was language barrier. Most staff if not all did not speak English. Google translate was found very helpful. 8/10 Breakfast: good enough for me. I loved the desserts section. Mini croissants, Danish pastries, and yogurt were freshly made every morning. 8/10 Happy hour session 18:00-21:00 : It was a nice bonus the hotel offered to its customers. There was a good selection of liquors and wines as well as soft drinks for free. 10/10 Location: very convenient. From the hotel I could simply walk to the left, to the right or even across the street to find nice restaurants and convenient stores. There were ATMs and banks which offered cash withdrawal and currency exchange. Some notable attractions in Nara like Kasuga Taisha, Heijo Palace and Nara park with wild deer could be reached on foot or by just a short bus trip. 10/10 So, in summary, Super Hotel JR Nara Ekimae was a decent 3-star hotel with a reasonable price and very convenient location. I'd stay at this hotel again if I had a chance to come to Nara in the future. Highly recommend it.

We enjoyed the welcome drinks and breakfast. The staff were very nice and the hotel was in a good location.
