The architecture and overall feel is a throwback to 1980 and former priorities, let's say, but the plumbing, furniture and linen have been updated and so it's actually very comfortable. Excellent value and well located. Good choice if you like a little Soviet nostalgia.

Breakfast was disappointing. There is no aircon in the standard rooms - not sure about the better rooms - and as I was there during a heatwave it did get warm in the room.
