Sea View Resort

Een fijne plek om te verblijven in batticaloa. Een prachtige plek, met uitzicht over de zee kan je elke ochtend een frisse duik nemen. De kamers en badkamer zijn ruim. De tuin is een groene oase en de eigenaar vind het belangrijk om klantvriendelijk te zijn. Lenen van fietsen, vrij gebruik van een goede wasmachine, gratis water, zo nu en dan een tussendoortje en het naar de busstation toebrengen is hem niet teveel.

Wees je ervan bewust dat je op een prachtig schiereiland zit, met enig afstand tot het centrum.

Emplacement idéal, face à la plage il n'y a qu'à traverser la rue. Pas de possibilité de restauration sur place mais très bonne adresse donnée, à 10min à pied : Lagoon hut. Personnel très gentil. Le propriétaire nous a aidé à trouver un tuk tuk pour nous rendre à la gare routière.

Matelas un peu ferme. Éclairage froid, pas de lampe de chevet ou d'éclairage indirect si l'un des deux veut lire le soir sans déranger l'autre.

Thinesh is a wonderful host, so helpful. He went above and beyond to take care of us. He arranged the best driver we have had in 5 weeks of travel and drivers. Having a washing machine to use was fantastic. Very close to the beach. Lovely garden and kitchen made available to use. Fantastic

Petite guesthouse agréable, dans un beau jardin. Grande chambre, grand lit, clim et ventilo efficaces. Salle de bain basique mais propre. Prioritaire accueillant. Très bon petit-déjeuner. Un bon rapport qualité prix.

Limpo e confortável. Ficamos apenas uma noite. AC e ventoinha. Anfitrião simpático, arranjou-nos sitio para jantar fora de horas.

We had a lovely time at the Sea View Resort. The room is comfortable with a big bed, great Ac and a fridge. There are no musquito nets, but theres netting in the windows which works perfectly. The location is in a pleasant and quiet area of the city. The beach is just across the street and was great for swimming: sandy, warm and calm. Dont expect sunbeds or bars though: theres absolutely nothing there but some fishing boats. We rented bicycles from the owner and that got us everywhere fast: cycling is a great way to move through Batticaloa. The owner is a great host. His english is good, he is helpfull but not "in your face" like some (well intending) Sri Lankan hosts can be. We got some nice drinks (for free) and a breakfast can be arranged for a very reasonable price. Sea View Resort was the perfect place for us to relax and explore Batticaloa.

The bathroom was a little mouldy because of a leak.

The place is really cosy and nice and so close to the beach. The host is very caring and made us feel welcome. We really wished we could have stayed longer than one night.

Es un lugar en frente de la playa, lleno de paz! La playa está completamente vacía, solo para ti. La zona no tiene turismo, por lo que si buscas un lugar auténtico te encantará. Las cabañas son muy cómodas con aire acondicionado y super limpias. El desayuno ideal y super completo.

The resort is lovely, just next to the ocean. The owner is very friendly and didn’t mind waiting for us to check in late.

The local roosters were very noisy from very early in the morning and we could hear them very loudly from room. We had to use headphones to block out the noise. If you’re sensitive to noise, it’s worth being aware of.

L’emplacement près de la plage . Le mini frigo et la possibilité de nager sur la terrasse. Le quartier tranquille et vivant à la fois. L’accueil formidable de Dinish : il nous a transporté avec son Tuk Tuk au restaurant et à la gare, il nous a fait de bons petits déjeuners et était toujours disponible.
