Hotel Brunnenhof

A beautiful & peacefully located, family run hotel with wonderful leisure facilities. Plenty of parking, but it is walkable from train station, although a weary traveller can use the bus that stops nearby or the hotel will arrange transfer. Built by current family to serve ski & Winter sports visitors, Hotel Brunnenhof is equally well suited to the Summer visitor with wonderful walking & exploring on the doorstep. Czech Republic border is moments away. Not so many restaurants or shops open in Summer & the village will be generally gearing up for Winter season, but we loved that the whole area was quiet & peaceful. (Check out the Pizzeria for the best pizzas we've ever eaten! & The Smugglers Hut near the railway station serves good Bavarian food & beer & is where the locals hang out!). Hotel Brunnenhof has a beautiful leisure complex, with exceptional pool, Turkish bath & sauna facilities. Spa treatments also available. Breakfast buffet was wonderful & the owners so friendly & helpful. We had a room with big balcony dressed with beautiful geranium flowers & a view of the Bavarian Forest. Perfection. We plan to visit again one day.

Ideally, we would have liked tea/coffee & bottled water facilities in the room. The evening meals offered are convenient if after a long day exploring you haven't got the energy to leave the hotel for another restaurant, but the food choice will be more limited.

Breakfast was great for such a small hotel, dinner exceeded expectations. Service was impeccable, the level of professionalism felt like in an expensive hotel in Dubai or so. Pretty great.

Everything was up to standard and even exceeded the price tag in my opinion.
