Hotel Rodella

From the moment we arrived, we were made very welcome, the hotel had a very friendly atmosphere with many returning guests, the food was amazing and the staff so friendly and attentive, the shuttle service was brilliant the minute you stepped into the boot room some one was there to take you and just a phone call away when you finished, our room was very bright warm and cosy, we also loved the beautiful spa so nice to relax after a day skiing,

There was nothing not to like, if anything at all we personally didn’t find the bar area as inviting as we like, nothing to do with staff or anything, just a personal feel.

Overall nice hotel. Very nice warm water in the pool (which is mostly outdoor, connected to a tiny indoor pool, good sauna and steam room, and relax zones. spectacular view from the pool. Very good dinners. Attentive hotel drivers who take skiiers to slopes. It takes only a few minutes by hotel transfers to reach slopes in the morning.

Sound insulation between rooms is poor. You can hear others taking a shower very well. Hard mattresses. In my room relatively squeaky bed. No one warned us before arrival that there is no car access to the entrance of the hotel but you end up in a garage or lower level parking lot. From the garage you cannot enter the hotel unless you have a room key (and no bell to ring). A member of the staff showed up by accident and I said please keep the door open and she did not. Hotel organizes transfers to and from ski lifts, but returning is only possible every half hour and not before 15:00. In another hotel we stayed in last year, this was very flexible. Dinner starts too late at 19:15 -- we suggest 18:00 or 18:30. The pool/spa is nice but is only open from 15:00 to 19:30 so if one decides to skip skiing that is a problem. Or if one wants to go to a spa after dinner, that is impossible. Breakfast is ok, but limited in terms of offering when compared to other Four star S hotels we stayed in in Austria or Italy. The hallway in the basement that connects the elevator and the spa is not particularly warm. Rooms are incredibly warm during the night even without radiators being on, which seemed like a puzzle. It seems this hotel only recently moved to Four S category and is still struggling to some extent to adjust to a new level. Waiters were not dedicated to tables, so we ended up being asked about drinks and food by multiple waiters which ocassionaly created some confusion.

Breakfast and dinner were delicious. Fantastic location with amazing view. Friendly staff. Friendly place for dogs.

Wonderful staff. Pleasant and attentive without exception.

A significant error was made on our bill. Although it was rectified immediately and without question. It made for a poor ending to an otherwise faultless experience.
