Pagali Hotel

Geheimtipp, tolle Lage, sehr schöne Aussicht, sehr gutes Essen in Nikos Taverne, familiäre Atmosphäre

The Pagali hotel and Nikos’s taverna next door are in a green oasis of beautiful trees and plants in the very lovely hill village of Lagada. The hosts Nikos and Ioanna and their son Manou are all very lovely people who make staying and eating there a pleasure. The food is fantastic, especially the baked aubergine 👌Most villagers seem to use mules for transport around the narrow village paths, which makes you feel like you’ve gone back in time in the best possible way. Walking routes from the village are well signed and take you to some fantastic viewpoints as well as linking the village to Tholaria (45mins) and down to Egiali (25 mins) down by the sea. The sunset views over the small Cyclades islands are amazing from Lagada. We’d thoroughly recommend it if you want peace and quiet and spectacular views.

The only thing I’d change is the brightness of the bulb in our room…. It was very dim, but that’s not a big problem!

Emplacement top à Lagada, petit village perché très mignon et authentique. L'hôtel est aussi très mignon, fleuri et ombragé. La vue sur la baie d'Aegiali est très belle. Les chambres sont rudimentaires, mais propres avec terrasse plaisante. La taverne de Nikos accolée à l'hôtel, avec sa jolie terrasse ombragée est très agréable. On y mange bien. La terrasse sert aussi pour le petit déjeuner, qui est simple avec des produits frais (ou presque, notamment pour les viennoiseries ou tartes qui étaient visiblement des restes de la boulangerie). De nombreuses tavernes où se restaurer dans le village, où il est fort agréable de se perdre dans le lacis de ruelles.

Déçue du manque d'attention des hôtes. Même si le personnel est sympa et souriant, nous n'avons à aucun moment de notre séjour de 4 jours eu des infos de la part des hôtes qui auraient pu nous donner quelques conseils pour profiter au mieux d'Amorgos. J'ai trouvé l'accueil un peu moyen : on nous montre la chambre, et c'est tout !

Alles war gut, meine Erwartungen wurden bei weitem übertroffen. Die Küche von Nikos dürfte die beste auf Amorgos sein. Und Nikos hat in 40 Jahren ein perfektes Team zusammengestellt. Das ist nicht nur familiär sondern hoch professionell. Danke für den tollen Aufenthalt.

The rooms were big, the beds were very comfortable and the balconies were very nice with an amazing view! The location of the hotel is perfect and the staff very friendly. Totally recommended!

Honestly, there was nothing not to like. If I have to say one thing it would be that the bathrooms could use a small renovation. Other than that, I found the rooms and the hotel perfect.

The view from the room was amazing, breakfast was delicious and Ioanna was lovely and welcoming.

Even with mosquito nets and spray I was bitten lots! Bathroom basic, but functional !
