Matsushima Petit Hotel Bistro Abalon

They served us a plated breakfast. It was delicious!!! The staff were so nice and friendly and spoke English well enough to communicate everything necessary. They even had suggestions for lunch and dinner restaurants that were great! Location is great. Only a 10 minute walk (uphill) from the train station. They offer free shuttle service to and from the station so that was awesome!

the lady in the counter was so nice to help us arranging the rooms even though we arrived late. the day we left was raining. she was kind helping us moving the luggages to avoid us being rained. 100% counter lady

The excellent breakfast, the jazz music, the wood fire in the evening, the proximity to the town and the park nearby, the easy washing machine and dryer, pleasant, helpful staff. Also the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was small but clean. The Japanese baths were great. We hadn't expected those- so an added extra.The free shuttle service to the station was a good help.

The only thing we would have liked was that the floor under the beds was clean and not dusty.

This was the best experience I’ve had in Japan. The staff were extremely welcoming and it felt like I was staying with friends. The restaurant was fabulous and the location was great. My room was on the bayside and I would watch the sun rise each morning, breathtaking.
