Hele fijne rustige plek! Mooi complex met rondom tuin en eigen moestuin. Zwembad met uitzicht over de rijstvelden en vanaf het dakterras een prachtig uitzicht op verschillende Stoepa's. Kamer was ruim en schoon en bed lag heerlijk. Vriendelijk personeel die je graag helpen. Er werd op het laatste moment nog een gids voor ons geregeld en dit was een hele goeie ook! Het ontbijt was heel uitgebreid ( Sri Lankaans) en het zwembad was heerlijk bij aankomst( na een lange rit) en tussen de excursies door om af te koelen en te relaxen.

Wij reden met de eigen Tuktuk maar wanneer je afhankelijk bent van vervoer dan zit je wel wat verder weg van oude en nieuwe stad. Aangezien wij ergens anders wilde eten was dit te ver om te lopen en ben je dus afhankelijk van vervoer.

People were very nice. Hotel view was quite nice.

Facility was poor- small water and no hot water for shower. Asked for hair dryer- that took me to make 4 times of calls. After a cold water shower, long waiting of getting a hair dryer was not a good experience. Breakfast was merely eatable.

I booked only two nights at the hotel but instead I spent four nights due to the cyclone Ditwa. Most parts of the island was shut down and I was the only guest the last two days. The power was on and off so was the network connection (even via my T-Mobile international service). The staff in the hotel took great care of me during the whole time. From breakfast, lunch to dinner, and finding drivers to take me around safely. Together we did evening walks to visit the village. The experience really delighted my journey in Sri Lanka! The chefs specifically prepared non spicy food for me. The chapati was great. The flood was difficult for all of us but our time together was very valuable to get to know the country and people. Hotel introduced tuktuk driver Sampath to me. He helped me in multiple occasions and even drove me to Sigiriya.
