Explore Sinharaja Rain Forest Tour Camp

The property itself was very good, everything was good here.

Our problem was, that it said the rainforest tour is included in our stay. That was written in the room description, my confirmation and the hotel even confirmed that on arrival. But the next morning, when the tours were starting, they wanted us to pay which we eventually did. Very disappointed by that mistake because I spoke with the owner on the phone and got shouted at. I hope that they changed the room description so no one else will get confused here

Very friendly and helpful staff and good restaurant on site. This made a big difference because there aren’t a lot of places nearby to eat.

Beautiful place next to the entrance of the rainforest. Restaurant with view over the ponds, garden and forest. Clean swimming pool. Fresh and big breakfast. Ideal place for Sinharaja hikes.

Nothing too bad but feedback for the hotel in which they can improve: - I booked the 6 hour hike, only hiked 4 hours and the guide expected a tip. There seems to be no difference between the 4 or 6 hour hike, you just go slower with the 6 hour one. Felt a bit like a rip off, and I’d advice the guide to not wait for a tip after someone pays for the long hike but you don’t do it. They should make it more clear what the difference is between the two. I feel like I paid 10$ more for nothing, but okay. It’s a nice hike so kind of worth it. - The lunch of the hike was without taste, I gave it to the street dogs. - The coffee is absolutely disgusting, bring your own instant coffee, it’ll be 1000 times better. - Don’t book the room for the bathtub, because they are unusable. There’s no plug and the water pressure isn’t strong enough. - Nobody takes care of the street dogs. I know it’s not the hotels responsibility but they practically live here and all they want is love and food. They’re very sweet dogs. I wish someone would care for them. It breaks my heart to see them so skinny. - I advise for better communication. The hotel is only reachable by 4x4, the hotel will pick you up from the village with their truck, you have to call them when you’re nearby, but it is not communicated very clearly. - it is extremely confusing which place it is. I think it’s the same as Forest Edge? I’m still not sure.

Nice feeling in the rainforest. The tour with Sagera was awesome, saw so many different animals and hat a swim at a nice waterfall!

In terms of location, style, room design, the owner's attention to details, food, staff, organization - this is the best place I've stayed in in Sri Lanka. and it’s especially incredible that all this was in a relict forest, where it was obviously much more difficult to organize everything at this high level. The atmosphere of the place and the energy of the people working in this hotel are amazing. Upon arrival, Ice tea was like a friendly gesture, a flower on the table, cool room design, floor-to-ceiling windows, a view of the pond with water lilies in the fog in the morning - indescribable. very very tasty and varied breakfasts and generally very tasty prepared food. the best owner Prasad who's meeting guests like old friend and always in touch and manager of the restaurant Tikiriki, and wonderful women who work for our pleasure. The hotel guide to the forest is simply wonderful. thanks to your entire team. you know how to surprise and give joy and pleasure.I appreciate you and grateful for my wonderful days in your hotel
