Yaluwa Tourist Rest & cooking class

Amazing host and perfect travel recommendations + amazing food! Highly recommended

We stayed at Yaluwa Tourist Resort and also joined the cooking class. The hostess and her family were so welcoming and kind. Our room was big, clean and had everything we needed, even mosquito protection. The food and all other offers are very fair priced. What we loved most is how the hostess shares about her country and culture, and how much she also cares for the local community. 10/10 would recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Nothing to complain about

Deze plek is een absolute aanrader als je in Anuradhapura verblijft! Wij komen zeker terug als we weer in Sri Lanka zijn. Chaya is een ontzettend goede host! Ze is duidelijk en eerlijk, ze heeft humor en ze is zeker ook lief en zorgzaam. De tours door Anuradhapura hebben we via haar geregeld, dit was ontzettend leuk, Adgi is een geweldige gids! Ook kan Chaya heerlijk koken, we hebben een kookcursus bij haar gedaan, ook echt een aanrader! Super leuk en heerlijke gerechten! Helaas was mijn vriend ziek geworden, Chaya's plek was eigenlijk volgeboekt maar desondanks heeft ze ons geholpen en konden we nog een nacht blijven. Erg behulpzaam!

Ne réfléchissez pas, réservez ici ! L'hôte est adorable, elle arrange tout pour vous : le safari a des prix deux fois moins chère que sur internet, le tuktuk qui vient vous chercher et vous ramène à la gare a ses frais, des excursions dans des temples environnant, les repas qui sont excellents etc... Shaya est a l'écoute de vos moindres envies et besoin et sa maison est parfaitement entretenu. Les chambres sont super confortables, propres, il y a de l'eau chaude, et de la climatisation. Vous dejeunerez même avec un spectacle d'écureuils. Vous l'aurez compris, ce logement a tout pour vous faire passer un séjour incroyable et efficace pour ce qui n'ont pas de temps a perdre pour découvrir le Sri lanka.

Rien a redire, tout était parfait

Nous avons fortement apprécié la chambre (grand lit, bonne literie et bonne climatisation) ainsi que l’expérience au sein de l’établissement. L’hôte a été très accueillante, disponible et présente.

Tout était parfait mais l’envie de trop bien faire de l’hôte peut être intrusive pour certains voyageurs.

Super Cooking class à Yaluwa, nous avons appris beaucoup de choses ! Petit déjeuner de super qualité. En plus l’hôte nous a trouvé un chauffeur au top pour la visite de la ville :)

Leider verbrachten wir nur eine Nacht in dieser Unterkunft, aber wir haben die Zeit dort sehr genossen. Die Gastgeberin ist ausgesprochen freundlich und das Frühstück war hervorragend. Die gesamte Unterkunft und das Gelände sind sehr gepflegt. Unser Zimmer war ein kleines, charmantes Häuschen mit einer eigenen kleinen Terrasse. Für uns war es bisher die schönste und gepflegteste Unterkunft in ganz Sri Lanka! Unfortunately, we only spent one night at this accommodation, but we really enjoyed our time there. The host is extremely friendly, and the breakfast was excellent. The entire property and surroundings are very well maintained. Our room was a small, charming little house with its own terrace. For us, it was the most beautiful and well-kept place we’ve stayed at in Sri Lanka so far!

Leider liegt die Unterkunft ein bisschen außerhalb der Stadt. Zu Fuß wäre es uns zu weit gewesen. Mit dem Tuk-Tuk ist es aber absolut kein Problem. Unfortunately, the accommodation is located a bit outside the city. It would have been too far for us to walk, but getting there by tuk-tuk is absolutely no problem.

La camera è spaziosa, pulita e con un bagno molto grande. Inoltre davanti al patio c’è un giardino bellissimo e curato, con scoiattolini che corrono sugli alberi! È davvero un posto meraviglioso, rilassante dove nulla è lasciato al caso. Colazione abbondante e preparata al momento, cena squisita! È davvero un’oasi di pace dove ricaricare le batterie!

La struttura è ben tenuta e le stanze sono molto pulite (con aria condizionata). In bagno si ha disponibilità di acqua fredda e calda per la doccia. Si ha la possibilità di usufruire della cena (ovviamente cucina dello Sri Lanka, senza troppa possibilità di scelta essendo un Home Stay, ma molto saporita ed abbondante). Colazione anch'essa in stile singalese ottima ed abbondante. La proprietaria è molto disponibile a dare tutte le indicazioni e dritte per visitare la zona dei templi nel migliore dei modi e compatibilmente con le proprie esigenze. Ad un prezzo aggiuntivo, ci sta anche la possibilità di partecipare a cooking class ( che purtroppo non abbiamo avuto modo di usufruire per i tempi stretti ).
