This was my first stay at villa pinnawala.staff was friendly and very attentive.room was very clean and bed was very comfortable.from hotel to pinnawala orphange about 200m walking distance.food was so delicious.swimming pool was clean and tidy.they had a amazing bar as well.hope to visit again for another stay.

Breakfast was great. Restaurant staff. The bathroom was clean and had all the utilities required.

Had several unpleasant experiences. There was no connection to the TV. it was not notified to us until we inquired. Though it seemed like it was a long-term problem, they just behaved like they were gonna fix it within the next few hours. so, no entertainment in the room. There was a cockroach in the kettle (when we complained, they quickly replaced the kettle). On the site, the room was advertised as a deluxe room with a pool view. but we got a room infront of their washing/changing room for the pool.

Nice shower place and comfortable room temperature with a net covered bed

Pool was good, location excellent for Pinnawala Elephant orphanage. Staff were ok, however knocked on door late to ask if we wanted breakfast, which we didn’t, then knocked again to confirm we didn’t.

Room was very dated, Wi-Fi was really poor, fan made a racket. Shower was open to the elements, therefore cockroach and a very big spider in the bathroom. Biggest gripe is that this is rated as 5 star on booking.com and it’s just not.

Bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was huge and had a bathtub. Pool was great as well.

The food. Thought it was too pricy and still not tasty. Some parts of the hotel was not well maintained.
