Smeralda Beach Hotel Dikwella

This hotel is right on the beach with a beautiful view from our room - in fact I think all the rooms would have a great view. The staff were fantastic. The food from the restaurant was exceptional. It has a 'sister' hotel about 100 metres down the beach with great pizza as well (the owners are italian). We swam in the sea and the pool every day we were there. I'd stay at either of the Smeralda hotels again.

There was a little bit of noise from the road, but not enough to keep us awake.

Very friendly staff and great views of the ocean. Peaceful away from the hustle of the main road.

Shower leaked through out across the bathroom. Few bugs in the room (but think that’s just part of being by the sea).

Beautiful hotel right next to the sea! The rooms are very comfortable and staff very friendly. Also the breakfast was very tasty with beautiful views over the waves. I made a booking on the wrong date and the hotel staff was so friendly to correct it to the correct date without charging a cancellation/modification fee, that is an extremely nice gesture.

Booking made a mistake, but the staff of Smeralda kindly and patiently came up with a solution. We ended up stayinga at the sister property Casa Smeralda, which is more suitable for families in my opinion. The rooms were spacious and well thought out. Good location on a quiet beach and if you'd like to visit Hikkaduwa as well.

The shower did not have a lot of pressure. Just be careful: there were a lot of black sand flies on the beach - we were seated under the trees on the beach beds and my baby and I are both covered in very itchy bites.

Top verblijf in Casa Smeralda! Prachtig aan zee gelegen, mooie ruime kamer, vriendelijk personeel en fijne ligbedden.

Veel zwerfhonden op het strand ervoor, maar heb je op zich niet mega veel last van. Verder waren onze pannenkoeken bij het ontbijt de tweede dag helemaal zwart aan de onderkant… toen de manager dit zag bood hij wel gelijk nieuwe aan!

Direkte ud til stranden. Stranden er skøn, næsten en privat strand. Kort afstand til Hiriketiya, men stille område. Fantastisk pizza i restauranten. Stort værelse med alt man har behov for, der var gratis badekåber man kunne benytte. Meget flink personale. Højt serviceniveau. 15 minutters gang til strand hvor man kan bade med skildpadder.

Nice location on a calm beach . Room was very clean and the food was amazing . Staff is very helpful and close by there are major attractions and surf point
