Hotel Ponta Nova

I recently stayed at Hotel Ponta Nova with my family, and while there were a few positives, overall the experience fell short of what I would expect from a hotel in the hospitality business. The cleaners and the bar man, were genuinely kind and hardworking. The apartments themselves were clean, and the views from the hotel are lovely. These were the highlights of our stay.

The buffet breakfast was well cooked, but after seven mornings of exactly same dishes, it became repetitive. Alternating options would make a big difference. Despite being advertised as family‑friendly, the layout isn’t very practical for families with young children. Several lifts have stairs directly in front of them, which made moving a pram around quite difficult. We also struggled with flexibility around late checkout. With a night flight, we requested a 2pm checkout but was unfortunately declined. We were instead advised to let our properties and children under‑5s remain in reception for hours, or pay nearly €50 for a tiny back room. The most disappointing part was being charged tourist tax for our children. We were charged €1.50 each, even though children under 12 are exempt. After challenging this, we received a €21 refund, but the situation felt deceptive and avoidable.

Clean, nice views, comfortable bed

Breakfast was ok. For us, we would have preferred to be closer to Budva

מלון נהדר. ארוחת בוקר עשירה מאוד עם מבחר יפה. כדי לרדת למסעדה שיושבת על החוף צריך להשתמש בשתי מעליות. אם יושבים על שולחנות שעל קו המים פחות נוח עם ילדים קטנים היות וביציאה מהמלון צריך לעבור בכבישון שיש בו תנועת רכב קלה. אם יושבים בפנים אין בעיה. מיטה נוחה חדר מרווח. בערב זה מתפקד כמסעדה עצמאית והאוכל היה טוב מאוד. החוף שליד המלון אינו מוסדר ואינו נוח לכניסה למים אבל יש חופים ממש קרובים.

היות והים לא היה עיקר השהיה שלנו במלון אז היה אחלה. אם מחפשים מלון על שפת הים כדי להיכנס לים המלון הזה פחות מתאים.

Bad amenities. Construction noises all day, from fixing adjacent room's A/C. Shower head broken, and cannot be mounted to wall. Toilet seat loose.

O locație minunată!

I really enjoyed my stay in the suite with its breathtaking bay view. The scenery was absolutely stunning, with beautiful views of the mountains, the sea, the beaches, and the lively waterfront area. The balcony was very clean, and the suite itself was spotless and well-maintained. It was spacious and comfortable, featuring a sofa bed as well as a double bed, making it perfect for a relaxing stay. The bathroom was equipped with a washing machine, which was extremely convenient and allowed me to wash my clothes easily during my trip. The hotel also provided shower gel and shampoo, which was a nice touch. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, cleanliness, and amazing views.

The main issue during my stay was that the hotel was quite difficult to find. Although there is a sign, it does not clearly indicate the correct way to reach the property. There are several paths, stairways, and elevators, which can be confusing for first-time guests. One elevator was out of service, while another required an access card, making the arrival experience more complicated than expected. I believe clearer directions or additional signage would greatly help new visitors. Another downside was the air conditioning. The suite only had one air conditioning unit, which was not sufficient to cool the bedroom properly. Even when running it at maximum power, very little cool air reached the room. During the hottest days, I ended up sleeping in the living room because the bedroom was too warm. Finally, accessing the hotel often required taking multiple elevators, walking through different passages, and using stairs before reaching the tourist promenade. While I understand that this is due to the hotel's location and layout, it was sometimes inconvenient. Aside from these points, everything else was excellent, and I had a very pleasant stay overall.
