Jungle Hut Resort Sigiriya

Location was peaceful. Raw materials were there to deliver……

Room wasn’t properly prepared. No toilet paper or toiletries. No tea coffee water. Tv remote missing. Air con remote not working. Pool dirty. It had water boatmen swimming in it which means the chemical levels were too low and people will get sick. No cushions for pool furniture. We had 5 beers between us and they ran out. Next day they still didn’t have any more. No effort made here at all. Lackadaisical and poorly run there was no management just some boys. Manager just turned up to check in and take money. Oh and dinner (we only ate there one night) was so overcooked chicken and beef it was inedible. Like shoe leather. Lots of smiles but no idea how to run a place. Roy’s place (30 min walk) is 100% worth the extra. We had a great lunch there. Sorry guys. It’s a fail from us. All small things but collectively they just kept adding up.

We had an amazing stay at the Jungle Hut. Our room was spacious, very clean and had a great AC. The hotel is situated in a very lush garden right between the jungle and some rice fields. There are peacocks moving about on the road to the property, and the surroundings are beautiful. The staff were also great. Everyone was super nice and very service minded. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We had dinner at the resort one night, and it was amazing. We are a devilled beef and chicken kottu, and both were fantastic. The devilled beef is one of the best dishes we’ve had in Sri Lanka thus far. To sum up, we had a really good experience at the Jungle Hut, and it exceeded our expectations. We definitely recommend this place if you’re staying in Sigiriya!

The staff is really helpful.u will feel that u are living in the middle of a jungle. No need extra safari experience.

The Road to the hotel is in a very bad condition. Contact the hotel before ur arrival so that they will give the directions. Payment accepted only cash which is a bit headache. Food prices are bit over rated.

I m disappointed to say that we had a bad experience during my recent stay at your hotel Jungle hut resort.As a paying customer I expected to receive a certain level of service and unfortunately my expectations were not met. Pool was not in a position to use and seems to be not clean. During the night we heard loud music which we couldn't have proper sleep with kids .Music was continuing till mid night. Also with all these issues they charged more 15% Tax form us (add more than booking. Com final price) .So we had to pay additional amount.

Well, it was an adventure getting there! It had been unusually rainy so many roads were flooded. It is also in the middle of the jungle, which is the best part. We had a very warm welcome and a lovely room. We were only staying one night and we were getting up very early to climb Lions Rock. When we returned we were able to have breakfast before we checked out. The staff were very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Food was great, service was great, pool was a delight and the puppies were so cute.

Quite far away from anything. Noisy room ( mainly due to guests and water pump right outside my window. so didn’t sleep well. And disappointed as no view and bars on window made me feel claustrophobic
