Beautiful hotel, quaint, with Old Mexico architecture.

Fueron muy amables al recibirnos, en general las personas encargadas fueron muy accesibles y amables todo el tiempo. Me fascino el jardin para desayunar por las mañanas y un dia de esos hubo musica de piano en vivo. 100% recomendado. Ademas que el centro esta a unas cuadras caminando no esta tan complicado llegar sin auto desde el hotel. Muchas gracias por su bonita hospitalidad.

Drinks and food are good and priced similar to other hotels

Bathroom was dated but water was wonderfully hot!

Lovely courtyard.

As other reviewers have mentioned, this hotel likes to sneak in charges. The free breakfast was fine, it does not include the buffet and they explained that. There were waters in each breakfast table, however, and they did not inform me until after I drank it that it was 110 pesos, around $7. Sometimes these types of things leave a bad taste and the manager would not remove the cost when I asked. Just say the costs up front, not after the fact. They also searched my room at check out for mini bar charges and wanted to charge me for a mineral water I bought from somewhere else. I had to offer to show the receipt, not ok. Their water was still in the fridge.

The included breakfast was very good. The buffet was excellent.

I would recommend upgrading your check in/check out process. You have to much manual input.

The breakfast was very good each morning. Some items on the menu were not available without charge but certainly enough for a full breakfast. The owners and staff were exceptional. I had a few issues when I moved in and they took care of everything. I began the trip alone and then a friend joined me. The owners try to make the place more than just a place to sleep. I was there for 2 weeks. They have little concerts in the courtyard. They were putting in a spa as I was leaving. Also, while I was there, they made another space into a courtyard bar. I walked everywhere from this location. It was above the park. You could walk through the park, day or night, and feel safe. (especially since I was alone) If you are looking for a Four Seasons property, this is not for you. This is for the seasoned traveler who likes to be in a typical setting. The town of San Miguel de Allende is a beautiful colonial town, and this hotel is representative of that style, once a home before being converted. If you are tired from a day of touring, they have dinner available some nights and also a chance to have a drink anytime. The owners treated me like family. It will be a highlight of my trip to San Miguel.

It’s location was exceptional! The interior courtyard and garden were an oasis. The room had character. The staff were lovely.

Nothing. The property was great. The only suggestion I have is that the staff should make it clear what is or is not included with the breakfast, to avoid surprises.
