Balxiba Playa del Carmen Downtown Hotel Boutique

The hotel was on a main Blvd so there was quick access to minimarts, pharmacy, food, taxis. The room was clean, with strong Internet, lots of kid friendly tv options, and a.c. unit. They have a pool and 24 hour service at the registration desk. The hotel personnel was very friendly and helpful.

There was only one outlet in the room tucked away behind the pillows of one bed, making it hard to charge multiple devices. The lighting was a bit dim, and the pillows were high and hard. Overall though, great value for the price.

There was a parking space in front of the hotel. The room was ok, nothing fancy but enough for one night.

The rooms and bathrooms were clean. The swimming pool is quite big although we didnt use due to the rain, they provided towels for the pool. They allowed us to do early check in so we appreciated it a lot and also to park the car. The owner was very gentle with us. Internet was good in all the property. Is well located, nearby there are restaurants and mini markets, rooms werent noisy as is a little far from downtown so it is very good to rest. They offer coffee and water.

One of the ladies in the front desk was not nice not only once but several times so we think she should improve her attitude with the guests (I dont know her name but she was always in the evening time).
