LKI don't even know where to start... I really don't have the words for the wonderful days we had here. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the wonderful team that made this stay the most wonderful for us! They are all such warm people! The concept of the hotel convinced me. We had the river view deluxe room, with direct river view was insane, mountain view and a great experience. The food was also a 10/10 (at least :D), every day the most delicious dishes are prepared with much love. The range of activities that have been offered here is so varied. River bathing, waterfall bathing, hiking across the river, hiking in the forest, natural swimming pools, infinity pools, the tea estate, jacuzzi pool, mountain hiking and many more. I would always come back to Forest Shade Deraniyagala and can only heartily recommend everyone to do so!!! Regarding the current situation, I wanted to mention that we never felt uncomfortable or unsafe at any time... We are so glad that we traveled to Sri Lanka and not be deterred by all the negative news . The people here are really so grateful and happy when people come, they live now once mainly from tourism and depend on it, it is so important. So please do not be afraid or doubt, come here and I promise you will not regret it. The last 2kms to the hotel is fascinating. It is not really difficult as some says. The hotel informs in advance about the condition of the road and they always assist you to come to the hotel and leave the hotel safe,...
LKThe hotel was very attractive and hospitality was outstanding! The location was breathtaking as it connected with Mother Nature. The seethawaka river next to the hotel, natural swimming pool & infinity pools , Jacuzzi and the calm surrounding is very unique experience. All in all I had a marvellous stay and hope to go again soon... Even though some say the road to the hotel is difficult, it was not really difficult. We enjoyed the road because it goes through a forest passing water streams, rubber estates, tea estates. Anyway the staff assist you from the time of booking until your departure. You do not have to worry.
