Lovely staff who were kind and attentive The view

Not sure why this place is rated so highly. :( This accomodation didn't reflect the price tag. The place is very run down. Broken toilet seat, stiff balcony doors, broken chairs, stained cushions, didnt always get a hot shower, small bathroom, cobwebs/dust, ants (which is typical in hot countries but windows/doors don't stop things getting in). Breakfast wasn't great again compared to other places we stayed in Sri Lanka. WiFi very slow... Needs an upgrade to justify the price! I've stayed in nicer hostels!

Location

First of all, the facilities of this hotel are very old. The noise of the air conditioner is particularly loud, making it difficult to fall asleep at night, and the bathroom facilities are also old and very inconvenient.Secondly, in addition to the accommodation fee I booked, this hotel also charged an additional 10% service fee. I paid with a credit card and they charged me a 3% service fee, but I swiped my card elsewhere and no one charged me a service fee. I'm not sure if I was deceived. This hotel is very cost-effective. The cost of this hotel can be used to book a better hotel. I hope you can learn from my experience.

The property was sad looking on the inside. Things needed finishing off. The initial walk up for you was really nice though

- nice area to see the sunset - excellent breakfast - very friendly manager and staff

- in our room the air conditioner was very loud and disturbing - no hot water in the shower in the evening - the swimming pool can’t be used as it needs cleaning

It was our son's 6th birthday and after we mentioned it in passing they surprised him (and us) with a birthday cake and all the staff sang happy birthday. It was a lovely gesture. The rooms are large and the view is exquisite. The staff are great.

Great location, close enough to walk to everything Unawatuna has to offer but tucked away on a quiet and tranquil property. Staff were friendly and attentive and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable during our stay. Our favourite spot on our trip in Sri Lanka. We will stay again if we return to Sri Lanka. The views from the balcony are beautiful looking out over the ocean.
