Herberg Restaurant 't Zwaantje

Good bed. Breakfast OK.

The manager, and staff, were fabulous and made our stay extra special. The food and drinks were top class. The room was very comfortable.

There was nothing about our stay that wasn’t to dislike or complain about.

Little bit far from Nijmegen but that is very minor

Breakfast was good and large - one was enough for two. Restaurant and bar area were large and inviting and food was excellent. Parking adjacent was good. Hotel is a handed-down family business - pride of ownership was evident. Hotel was a popular rest stop for cyclers and bikers, esp in the morning. Location was quiet and remote in the countryside.

Location was a few kilometers outside of Nijmegen so a vehicle is required for any site seeing, museum visits, etc.. No other shops, facilities near by. Ensuite bathroom was separated from the main room by a curtain - not all rooms are like this. Room was small and the gabled roof led to awkward movement and "head bumps" in our room though not the case for all.

We liked the quite green forest surroundings. The staff were so friendly and very accommodating. The beds were super comfortable.

Low beams on the ceiling were a hazard. Curtain on the bathroom ( prefer a door). We had to carry cases upstairs ( not a problem for us in particular, but might be for some people.

Location lovely, rooms spacious and clean with good shower/bed, good food

Hotel closed when I arrived, nobody present to let me in. At approx 10pm.

I food was amazing from breakfast to the evening meal all the staff were very very helpful and made are stay so enjoyable thanks to everyone at zwaantje thanks to everyone 100/100
