The kitchen area was bright and clean

The room smelt of weed and damp The bedroom area was very dark The stairs to the bathroom were extremely steep. The path to the room was uneven and steep down hill We actually packed up and found a different hotel for the night

Such idyllic grounds, beautifully decorated suite and already warmed up. Gorgeous flowers awaited us on the table on arrival as well as delicious coffee, a fridge (we had brought Champagne). It's like having your own home away from home, very spacious, quiet and the surrounding area is beautiful.

We love a nice 'hard' matress and although the bed was huge, which is great, the matress was too soft ofr our liking. That's a personal preference of course.

"Never again !"

1.0

Our visiting was terrible becouse of the musty smell inside the house, there was no possibility to open any windows so it was hard to ignore it. One small window you can just open in bathroom above the bedroom thats not enough, during taking bath water was pouring from ceiling directly ino bed. But the most dangerous thing was many wasps inside the "kitchen place". When we reported to owner about it he said that 2 days ago was desynsection and all wasp should die. But instead of dying, wasps went more active. Nest of wasp was outside, nobody remove it from wall, so many of them went inside house between walls. There was no propositions from owner to us about replaced room or took some cash back for inconvenience, nothing. Even when I told him about my allergy on wasps he didn't care. So when one of them bite me, we leaved the place.

"We enjoyed our stay and though we had a few points to raise they are not complaints."

6.0

We liked the location as convenient to visit places nearby. Great a dog was allowed too. Was a very attractive set up of converted outbuildings looking out onto a very pretty graveled courtyard. Chose this one as was all on ground floor and more private outside area. Parking too was great. The living room/dining room/kitchen was huge and very welcoming. The hosts were very good and met us on our arrival. Coffee machine was great bonus. It was a very quiet location, but very convenient for walks and for access to local shop. Lots of hot water for the shower etc. Has a washing machine, but wasn't sure how to use it as all in dutch! Outside seating area was very attractive and welcoming - lots of comfy seats.

Afraid there were a few points to raise here - mostly suggestions. The apartment felt quite damp and airless on arrival, i expect this is because there is little airflow as doors only open on the front of the building and the buildings are set in a low enclosed area. You enter/exit thru the bedroom, which is odd. It was very dark - lots of dark furnishings and floors. Quite a nice atmosphere, but the colour scheme adds to the airlessness. The Kitchen/living/diner was a fab size - but the table was too huge for just a couple sized apartment. Whereas the sofa was v v small and not comfy. There was no tv in the living room - which should be the best place to sit and relax, instead the tv was in the bedroom. Took us ages to work out why the tv/wifi etc wouldn't come on - turns out we had to plug this and other stuff into an extension lead high up at the back of the tv on the cupboard. This was not good - too many items attached to extension leads around the tv area - i didn't feel safe touching them. The bed was nice and big - two single mattresses together - but the mattresses kept moving apart and sliding off beds - and the odd, v thick mattress toppers were too soft and needed a superking sheet to hold them together. Neither of us slept very well. The kitchen looked great, but had v few useful cooking utensils - just one small saucepan - for such a huge fab hob, and no oven or microwave. Just a small toaster over. The little coffee machine was great - but the water holder jug was already broken. and you had to hold the jug in place to make the coffee. There was no where to hang wet towels and bath mat. The Macerator was extremely noisy in bedroom and came on every time water was run in kitchen or bathroom. Recycling was not at all clear or set out properly. There was no info or instructions left out about the property of the local area/or maps etc. No instructions for the washing machine - all in dutch!

"An amazing little oasis for a relaxing getaway"

10.0

Such a beautiful, tranquil and relaxing place to stop and rest for two nights on our cycling tour. Big comfortable bed with sliding doors onto the garden terrace. Lovely big kitchen but a few amenities like salt and pepper would help those traveling through. Great shower and the outside space is what made it special for me. Would highly recommend. We were lucky enough to enjoy the dining experience in the garden next door, the chef cooking on the BBQ with local produce sitting amongst the large garden with chickens and mini horses. Amazing 🤩

Nothing but a few little supplies in the kitchen might be nice.

Lovely house with spacious kitchen dining area. And a sitting area with tv. Big bedroom upstairs with ensuite bathroom. Terrace with views over the fields and river in the background. Close to Gorinchem. Plenty to do in the area.

It is a shame the dike is closed in certain areas for renovations. At time of writing.
