Manned reception, smily and kind in the reception. Located in the small town…Plenty of soap and towels in the room…

Beds where extremly hard. Was not able to lock the door to the room, only from the inside.

Friendly and responsive staff

It was incredibly noisy in our room and you could hear EVERYTHING from the main road, to include incessant dog barking and even other guests that checked in. Acoustics are very bad so if you want a quiet sleep, this is not the place to stay (at least not the room we were in). We were awakened at least twice in the middle of the night.

The hotel worked just fine for one nights sleep before heading to Grutas Tolantongo the following morning. It was late when we arrived (10:30 pm or so) and there was someone there to greet us. He was very friendly and walked us down the road a little bit to park and stay at a secondary location. The property is pretty minimal, we actually weren't sure if there was anyone else there. There was no one at reception over night, but it was clean, the bed was comfy, and there was hot water for the shower. Overall, totally worth it if you're not willing to drive the extra 40 minutes to Tolantongo to see if they have availability onsite.

There was a pretty bad smell coming out of the bathroom sink drain. There was a drain blocker which helped significantly while not in use, but we still kept the bathroom door shut at all times to avoid the smell leaking into the room. Late night, the whole town is asleep, so make sure to grab whatever dinner/drinks you might need before arriving.
