Comfortable and clean location is great

Always stay at The Ambassador hotel when I’m in Tacloban as it’s very well located …. Not far from the immigration office and close to local restaurants. Nice big clean rooms. Excellent value for money.

Breakfast was so-so & the same for the entire stay. Not worth the additional 220 and weird because if you don’t have breakfast included, you can avail at 200, which is 20 cheaper than when you get the room with breakfast. I booked the suite with a king bed, a queen bed and a single bed and a sofa bed. But owners and staff insisted that a maximum of 5 (with a fee for the extra person because they insist that it’s only good for 4) can stay in the room, meaning a bed each occupant. Couples can’t sleep together? Or even kids can’t sleep with their parent. We were 8 adults. I expected that the suite can accommodate 6 so I can opt for an extra bed or 2. But they insisted that we get another room. Description on booking.com says that children aged 13 up will be charged as adults. My kids were 12, 10 & 9 and they were charged as adults, making us pay for 6 more heads at 880 each in a room with only a queen sized bed and a single bed. So only 5 adults can stay in a suite room (king, queen, single beds with sofa bed) but 6 can stay in a room with queen-sized bed and a single bed. And to top it all, the reason for limiting the occupants in the suite room is to safeguard the integrity of their beds! They only provide a soap & dental kit, no shampoo. You have to request for tissue & water.
