Hotel Evergreen

Big, clean attic room. Good restaurant and good location in front of the lake. The swimming pool was great a warm summer day. Free parking. Polite staff.

The location of the hotel was great; we've enjoyed the pool area and the nearby public beach by the lake. The staff was kind and helpful, and the breakfast was very good. We have also used the restaurant and were happy with the quality of the food.

However, it was disappointing that the hotel did not have a beach by the lake, as the pictures suggested. In addition, since I was travelling with a passport and did not have a Romanian ID card, I was asked to fill out a rather intrusive form asking too many personal questions about my visit to Romania, including when I arrived and when I plan to leave. Clearly, the hotel was overreaching and not respecting the privacy of their guests. The internet was also very slow and the AC was not working.

Mancarea la micul dejun rece, pregatita in transe de 2 persoane care nu fac fata ( dar nici nu vor.. ) cerintelor. Poate - i mai ajuta cei 5-6 badyguarzi care racesc intrarea in hotel ...

No air conditioning remote control in the room. To turn it on, we had to ask the reception to come with their own, because it seems that not all the rooms are having a remote control. Also, every time we needed to increase or decrease the temperature in the room it was impossible… it is unacceptable that during summer to be unable to use the AC because of missing remote controls (multiple rooms had the same issue, as we were told by the reception employee). The breakfast was very poor, not too many options, the only coffee machine available was constantly blocked by various issues, so all the time someone from the hotel should have been asked to fix it.
