River Kwai View Hotel Kanchanaburi

The location is perfect for views of the river and for the train to and from Thonburi which is just a few minutes walk away from the hotel. We chose a sea view with a balcony overlooking the bridge. Laundry service is available, priced by the kilo.

There is no restaurant service apart from breakfast. And, although these are only minor points - our room had a safe that we could have carried out because it wasn’t anchored to anything, there were no glasses in the room or soap for the washbasin.

The location

No hot water in the bathroom basin. Poor breakfast. No English speaking staff at reception. .

The view from the river facing room was great. Nice to sit outside and watch the river traffic and trains. Close to the bridge, markets, and train station. Office staff and cleaning staff were very happy and obliging. The pillows were pretty soft, and when asked, they happily provided another couple.

Breakfast was pretty basic. The lady doing the eggs in the morning definitely wasn't a morning person.

Stayed here for a night for a little getaway from Bangkok it was 100% worth it. We stayed in a room with a river view which was gorgeous and I highly recommend! Super close to lots of nearby restaurants, markets and a 24 hour 7/11
