Helpful and friendly staff, lovely view

The hotel room was just like the pictures, although unfortunately the bathroom was very dirty and untidy. We checked in at 10pm. I had a bad experience. Cleanliness should be first and foremost!

the bathroom was very dirty as if it had not been cleaned at all. it was late and we did not have the strength to ask to change the room. i had 2 rooms booked in both the same situation

موقع الفندق ممتاز جدا. والافطار متنوع وجميل. لقد حجزت في طريقي الى طرابزون وكذلك حجزت عند العوده الى استطنبول بنفس الفندق

كان الجو حار بسبب زجاج المطعم. بسبب دخول ضوء الشمس. اتمنى وضع عازل حراري على الزجاج للإستمتاع بمنظر البحر دون ازعاج ضوء الشمس في الصيف

The view was great. Eyüp was very helpful. The breakfast looked great.

There is a no smoking sign that the people and staff ignore (and staff verbally later condoned), smoking is informally allowed in all rooms which it hard to breathe and everything stank of cigarettes in the bedrooms. They also allowed smoking in the doorway (which remained open) allowing all the cigarette smoke to come into the lobby. The wifi was atrocious and cut out every 2 seconds (this is not an exaggeration) we were lucky to get a message through at all. There were no brochures or links to things we could do in central Samsun - which was essential to us as the hotel is located very far away from the city centre with minimal transport links outside of a taxi. Outside of Eyüp who was the only helpful staff member, the others were unhelpful and quite rude. We asked the staff if we could package a few breakfast items as we had to leave at 7.30am for our own tour and that when breakfast started. Eyüp told us this was perfectly fine. However when we went upstairs to package some breakfast items the lady was not o my rude she spoke to us as though we were stealing food, and made a show of calling the staff downstairs to report us - who then told her that they already knew and told us this was fine. Even then she continued to make us feel unwelcome and talked about us in Turkish to her colleagues (we understand Turkish very well). There were other minor problems for example the safe was broken, the shower was unclean and the room was clearly dirty on our arrival. Overall we had high hopes but were extremely disappointed by this stay. We would not stay here again and encourage anyone from overseas to choose another hotel if budget allows.
